Turn Your Yard Into a Haunted Path with PVC Skull FenceFor a dramatic, ghostly fence effect, grab 2-inch PVC pipes cut to varying lengths.

You spray-paint them matte black and attach lightweight plastic skulls to the tops with hot glue or screws.

Also, drill small holes in the eye sockets and slip in battery-operated tea lights or LED candles for a haunting inner glow.

This display works perfectly along driveways or garden borders, guiding trick-or-treaters through your spooky masterpiece.

Materials Needed

  • 2-inch PVC pipes (cut into 2–4 ft sections)
  • Plastic skulls (one for each pipe)
  • Black spray paint (matte finish)
  • Hot glue gun or small screws
  • Battery-operated LED tea lights (2 per skull)
  • Drill and spade bit for holes
  • Measuring tape and garden spade for installation

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Cut PVC pipes into varied lengths to give a staggered, eerie look along your pathway.

Step 2: Paint all pipes and skulls matte black, letting them dry completely before assembly.

Step 3: Drill holes through each skull’s base to fit securely on top of the PVC pipe.

Step 4: Insert LED lights inside the skulls, ensuring they flicker from within the eye sockets.

Step 5: Push each pipe into the ground (about 6 inches deep) or use rebar for added support.

Step 6: Finally, line them up along your walkway or yard edge, spacing each 12-18 inches apart.

Tips:

If you want extra drama, use a fog machine nearby so the light diffuses through the mist.

For durability, choose waterproof LED candles or seal the holes with silicone caulk.
