Materials Needed
- Green macrame cord (3 mm thick, about 6-7 ft total)
- Jute cord or twine for base (6 ft)
- Wooden star cutouts (1.5” size, 6 pieces)
- Wooden beads (optional, 1/2” size, for extra accents)
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun (for attaching stars)
Step-by-step Guide
Step 1: Cut six pieces of green macrame cord, each about 20” long, for your trees.
Step 2: Fold each piece in half and use lark’s head knots to attach them to the base cord.
Step 3: Tie square knots in decreasing rows to form a triangle, trimming edges for a tree shape.
Step 4: Leave a small tassel at the bottom to act as the tree trunk, trimming neatly.
Step 5: Hot glue a wooden star to the top of each tree for a finishing touch.
Step 6: Space trees evenly along the jute cord, then hang your garland where it shines best.
