How to Make Cute Peanut Shell Bunnies Hopping Through Grass

Imagine placing your peanut bunnies on a white stage where they spring to life, peeking out from tufts of grass and nibbling in silence.

Each shell becomes a body, while drawn-on details and paper ears transform them into playful characters.

Together, they create a meadow scene that feels like a storybook page.

Materials Needed

  • 6-8 peanut shells (about 1.5-2” each, for bunny bodies)
  • White or pastel cardstock plate/disc (8”-10” diameter)
  • Colored markers or pens (black, pink, blue)
  • Small pieces of pink/blue paper (1” × 1”)
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun or craft glue
  • Artificial grass or green craft moss (about 10-12 small tufts)

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Start by gluing peanut shells onto the cardstock plate. Then place them at different angles to mimic playful bunny positions.

Step 2: Cut out simple long ears from colored paper and attach them to the top of each peanut with glue. Alternate colors for fun variety.

Step 3: Use markers to add faces, rosy cheeks, tiny paws, and tails. Keep the lines simple, as cartoon-style works best here.

Step 4: Glue small tufts of fake grass or moss around the plate, creating little hiding spots and giving the meadow its natural look.

Step 5: Once everything is dry, hold up your meadow and admire how the bunnies seem ready to hop off the plate.

Tips:

For a festive Easter version, you can add tiny paper eggs hidden in the grass. Or let kids design super bunnies with rainbow ears and superhero capes, it makes the scene even more fun.
