Flowers fade quickly in the garden, but here, they remain in their most radiant moment.
You can capture the wildness of a spring field or the sentiment of a bouquet gifted by someone special.
When framed between glass, their delicate forms tell a quiet story every time light shines through.
This project isn’t only about crafting, it’s about keeping memories alive in the gentlest way possible.
Materials Needed
- 1 double-glass frame with wooden border (8”×10” recommended)
- 15-25 pressed flowers and leaves in various colors and shapes
- Pair of tweezers for delicate handling
- Craft glue stick or Mod Podge (small amount for securing)
- Soft cloth
- Optional: small label stickers
Step-by-step Guide
Step 1: Open your double-glass frame and clean both sides of the glass with a soft cloth. A spotless surface ensures your flowers look crisp and bright.
Step 2: Lay out your pressed flowers on the table before placing them in the frame.
You can mix large blooms with smaller filler pieces for balance, think of it as arranging a bouquet on glass.
Step 3: Using tweezers, carefully position each flower on the inner glass pane.
Then apply a dab of glue only if you want to secure them permanently, but often the frame pressure holds them perfectly.
Step 4: Once your design feels complete, close the frame carefully. Press down lightly to ensure the flowers stay flat.
Step 5: Hang your frame near a window, or place it where light can pass through.
The changing sun will make your pressed flowers glow at different times of the day.
Tip:
For a seasonal twist, you can create multiple frames including one with spring wildflowers, one with summer garden blooms, and one with autumn leaves.
Then you can rotate them throughout the year for a home that always reflects nature’s rhythm.
