How to Create Bright Spring Flowers with BeansCrafting this flower feels like pressing pause on a busy day.

Each bean, carefully placed, becomes a petal, a reminder of how small things form something beautiful together.

Once finished, your mosaic blooms with earthy textures and organic colors, resembling a daisy basking in sunlight.

Materials Needed

  • Cardboard (cut into flower shape, about 6” wide)
  • 1/2 cup small white beans (about 1 cm each)
  • 1/4 cup green split peas (5-6 mm each)
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue or white school glue (120 ml bottle)
  • Paintbrush (optional, for spreading glue evenly)

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Trace and cut a simple flower shape from sturdy cardboard. A daisy with 5-6 petals works best.

Step 2: Apply glue to the center circle first. Then sprinkle and press green split peas until the space is filled.

Step 3: Move on to the petals. You spread glue on one petal at a time and press small white beans in rows, following the shape.

Step 4: Continue filling each petal, keeping the beans neat and close together. Adjust with a toothpick if needed.

Step 5: Let your flower dry completely overnight. Once dry, you can hang it on the wall or arrange multiple flowers together for a spring display.

Notes:

If you want more vibrant designs, try swapping beans with painted lentils or colorful beads.

Mixing sizes and shades adds natural depth and makes your mosaic look more like real blooms.
