Imagine your yard transformed into a cozy Christmas card scene with a snowman who never melts and two trees that twinkle even without lights.
This pallet project makes it happen. With just a little paint and creativity, scraps of wood become holiday characters full of personality.
The snowman beams with a red scarf, while the trees stand proudly in their festive coats of green and white.
Materials Needed
- 3-4 pallet boards per tree (cut into graduated lengths, 20-36” long)
- 2 pallet boards (cut into circles or stacked rectangles, 12-16” wide)
- Scrap wood for star toppers and snowman hat
- Acrylic exterior paint (white, green, black, red, brown)
- Paintbrushes and sponges
- Outdoor wood screws and drill
- Wood stands or cross bases
- Optional: fabric scarf
Step-by-step Guide
Step 1: Break down your pallets and cut boards to the desired sizes for two trees and a snowman body.
Step 2: Arrange the boards in triangle shapes for trees, securing them to a vertical back brace. For the snowman, stack the boards in a circle or oval shape.
Step 3: Paint one tree green and the other white, then decorate with colorful dots or ornaments.
Step 4: Paint the snowman white, adding eyes, buttons, and a carrot nose. Attach a wooden hat cutout to the top.
Step 5: Screw stars to the top of each tree and attach wooden bases so they stand upright.
Step 6: Add finishing touches like a red fabric scarf for the snowman to bring the display to life.
