Imagine looking out at the power lines and seeing a chorus of little birds singing their hearts out. That’s exactly the charm this project captures.
The peanut shells act as playful bird bodies, while the drawn wires and musical notes bring rhythm to the scene.
It feels like nature and music joined hands, creating a piece that makes any wall feel lighter and happier.
Materials Needed
- 10-12 peanut shells (1-2” long, cleaned and dried)
- Acrylic paints (red, green, blue, yellow, pink, purple, brown)
- Black marker or pen
- White cardstock or canvas board (A4 size)
- Fine paintbrush
- Craft glue or hot glue gun
Step-by-step Guide
Step 1: Paint your peanut shells in different bright colors, one per bird. Then add black dots for eyes and let them dry.
Step 2: On white cardstock, draw utility poles, wires, and musical notes using a black marker. Keep the wires slightly curved for a natural flow.
Step 3: Glue the peanut shells along the drawn wires. Make sure they’re angled differently so each “bird” looks unique.
Step 4: With a fine brush or marker, draw tiny feet under the shells and small red beaks at the edges.
Step 5: Add more music notes around the birds to give the artwork rhythm and joy.
Tips:
Use metallic paints for some birds if you want an extra shimmer. This design also works well framed as a fun wall hanging for a kid’s room.
