Here's Way to Make A Comic Book Gift Wrapping

I’ve always believed the wrapping should spark just as much excitement as what’s inside.

When I hand someone a gift dressed in their favorite superhero panels, their face lights up before they even untie the bow. It feels like giving them two gifts in one.

Materials Needed

  • 1 roll of kraft paper or plain wrapping paper (24–30 inches wide)
  • Comic book pages (3-5 panels, cut neatly)
  • Scissors (sharp for clean edges)
  • Glue stick or double-sided tape
  • Stickers (superhero or themed, optional but fun)
  • Twine or ribbon (24-30 inches, enough to tie a bow)
  • Marker or pen

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Wrap your gift with the plain kraft paper first. This creates a neutral background for the comic cutouts.

Step 2: Choose your comic panels. I like to mix one large action scene with smaller dialogue bubbles, so the package feels like it’s telling a story.

Step 3: Tear or trim the panels depending on the style you want, torn edges feel casual and artsy, while sharp cuts look clean and bold.

Step 4: Glue or tape the panels onto the wrapped box, layering them slightly. Then add stickers or doodles around them for extra character.

Step 5: Tie twine or ribbon around the package. I usually slip a comic bookmark, trading card, or even a matching pen under the bow as a fun surprise.

Step 6: Finish by writing the recipient’s name directly on the comic panel or on a tag attached to the twine.

Tips:

Match the characters on the wrap to the recipient’s favorite superhero. For kids, stickers and bright colors work best. For adults, go for sleek cutouts and minimalist layouts.
