Materials Needed
- Small embroidery hoop (4″-6″)
- Vintage-style sheet music paper or scrapbook paper
- Scrabble tiles spelling “NOEL”
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Small faux greenery sprigs
- Mini berry clusters (red)
- Lace ribbon
- Twine or jute string
- Scissors
Step-by-step Guide
Step 1: Cut a piece of sheet music paper to fit inside your embroidery hoop. Then secure it tightly, trimming away any excess from the back.
Step 2: Arrange your Scrabble tiles across the center of the hoop to spell “NOEL.” Once you’re happy with the placement, glue each tile securely in place. You can tilt them slightly for a playful effect.
Step 3: Create a small cluster of greenery at the bottom edge of the hoop.
Tips: You can mix in faux evergreen sprigs, lace leaves, or similar accents. Layer them so they look natural rather than perfectly even.
Step 4: Add a cluster of red berries on top of the greenery. Then tie a simple twine bow and glue it at the base of the greenery.
Step 5: Glue a lace bow at the top of the hoop where the screw fastener sits. Finally, attach a loop of jute string or twine for hanging.
Step 6: Let everything dry fully before hanging your ornament on the tree or gifting it.
