As the season turns crisp, this pumpkin tower brings a little Halloween joy right to your doorstep.
The Jack-O’-Lanterns seem to giggle as they lean upward, each stuffed with bright autumn leaves.
You’ll build this festive stack using a single PVC pipe, threading the pumpkins like beads on a string until they reach the sky.
It’s simple, charming, and looks like something out of a friendly witch’s garden, especially when lit up at night.
Materials Needed
- 1 PVC pipe (1” diameter, about 5-6 feet tall)
- 5-6 plastic pumpkin buckets with handles removed
- Large planter or pot (12-14” wide) with soil or sand for base stability
- Faux fall leaves, flowers, or LED string lights
- Drill for making holes in pumpkin bases
- Optional: small gravel or weights
Step-by-step Guide
Step 1: Fill your planter halfway with soil or sand, then insert the PVC pipe upright in the center.
Step 2: Drill a 1-inch hole in the bottom of each pumpkin bucket.
Step 3: Slide the pumpkins one by one onto the pipe, tilting each slightly for a playful, stacked look.
Step 4: Fill each pumpkin with faux flowers or leaves, adjusting color for balance.
Step 5: For nighttime glow, weave LED lights through the openings or inside each pumpkin before finishing.
Tips:
Anchor the planter with extra gravel or stones if your area gets windy. A coat of clear sealant can help the pumpkins stay bright longer outdoors.
