A Classic Monster Duo with Timeless CharmNothing says Halloween like reviving a little old-school monster magic.

Imagine walking into a party with Frankenstein’s heavy steps and the Bride’s wild, lightning-struck hair, it’s like stepping right out of a black-and-white classic.

This costume doesn’t just scream spooky, it whispers romance too, reminding everyone that even monsters need their soulmate.

Perfect for couples who want to balance eerie with affectionate, this look will never fail to impress.

Materials Needed

  • 1 brown blazer or suit jacket (size large for Frankenstein)
  • 1 pair of black pants (adult size, any fit)
  • 1 black shirt (long sleeve or crew neck, adult size)
  • 1 green face paint kit (includes black accents)
  • 1 black wig with bolts or Frankenstein headpiece
  • 1 white dress or long top (women’s size, knee-length or longer)
  • 1 Bride of Frankenstein wig (with tall black-and-white streaks, approx. 12-15” tall)
  • 1 pair of black boots (ankle or knee-high)
  • Makeup kit (eyeliner for stitches, highlighter for dramatic look)

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: For Frankenstein, layer the black shirt under the brown blazer with black pants. Keep the look boxy to capture the monster’s rugged silhouette.

Step 2: Apply green face paint evenly, then add black scars and shading to mimic Frankenstein’s stitched look.

Step 3: Add a flat-top black wig or headpiece to complete the signature monster style.

Step 4: For the Bride, slip into a simple white dress. Then add dramatic flair by using a wide belt or sash to cinch the waist.

Step 5: Wear the Bride of Frankenstein wig, making sure the white streaks stand tall and dramatic.

Step 6: Finish the look with bold eyeliner and a touch of highlighter to give her that glowing, just-zapped by lightning effect.

Tip:

If you want to go the extra mile, carry props, a bouquet of dead roses for the Bride or fake chains for Frankenstein.
