This charming Santa napkin holder brings instant Christmas cheer to your dinner table.
Made with a red napkin and a delicate paper doily, it turns a simple table setting into something festive and heartwarming.
The lace-like doily forms Santa’s beard, while the napkin creates his classic red hat.
Plus, it’s a quick, affordable craft that adds a personal touch to any holiday meal, perfect for both adults and kids to enjoy creating together.
Materials Needed
- 1 red cloth or paper napkin (approx. 12×12 inches)
- 1 round paper doily (6-8 inches diameter)
- 1 small white paper circle (about 2.5 inches)
- Black marker or pen
- Red marker, crayon, or small sticker
- Glue stick or double-sided tape
- Scissors
Step-by-step Guide
Step 1: Lay the red napkin flat and fold it diagonally into a triangle. This will form Santa’s body and hat.
Step 2: Take the paper doily and position it so that the lace edges peek out like a beard.
Next, glue or tape it onto the folded napkin, about two inches below the tip.
Step 3: Cut out a small white circle for Santa’s face and attach it to the center of the doily.
Step 4: Draw two oval eyes using a black marker and add a red dot for the nose to give Santa his cheerful expression.
Step 5: Adjust the napkin tip to point upward like Santa’s hat. You can even add a tiny white pom-pom at the top for extra charm.
Tip:
You can use different colored napkins such as green, gold, or plaid for a playful variation, and tuck silverware inside for a complete festive look.
