Add Sparkle to Your Coffee Table with a Confetti TrayThink about how often you reach for a tray, serving snacks to guests, carrying drinks, or even keeping candles and trinkets in one place.

Now picture that tray covered in a burst of shimmering confetti, like a permanent celebration living on your table.

It turns the ordinary into extraordinary, making every moment feel a little more playful and alive.

Materials Needed

  • 1 clear acrylic tray (12×16 inches works well)
  • 1 cup loose confetti (metallic or colorful mix)
  • Resin or clear-casting epoxy (enough to fill base)
  • Mixing cup and stir stick
  • Painter’s tape
  • Gloves for safe handling

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Clean your acrylic tray thoroughly, making sure the base is dust-free before starting.

Step 2: Use painter’s tape to seal the outer edges to prevent resin overflow. This helps keep your work neat.

Step 3: Sprinkle confetti evenly across the bottom of the tray. For a layered effect, you can mix large sequins with tiny bits.

Step 4: Mix resin according to package instructions and slowly pour it over the confetti. Then tilt the tray gently to spread the resin evenly.

Step 5: Remove any bubbles with a toothpick or by lightly blowing over the surface. Let cure for 24-48 hours until hardened.

Step 6: Peel away the tape, and your dazzling tray is ready for use!

Tip:

Match your confetti to the season like pastels for spring, bold neons for summer, gold and silver for the holidays.
