Want to dress up your walls without fuss? This bow garland is like sprinkling cheer in neat little packages.
Every bow feels like a gift waiting to be opened, and when you flip the switch on the lights, the whole room beams with holiday spirit.
It’s simple, stylish, and looks as if you spent hours crafting, even though you’ll finish it in under 30 minutes.
Materials Needed
- 1 roll satin red ribbon (2 inches wide × 20 feet long)
- 1 set warm white LED string lights (10-12 feet long, 100 bulbs)
- 10-12 clear adhesive wall hooks (1 inch size)
- Measuring tape (60 inches or more)
- Sharp scissors
Step-by-step Guide
Step 1: Measure the wall or mantel where you’ll hang your garland. Note the length so your lights and ribbon fit perfectly.
Step 2: Attach adhesive wall hooks across your chosen space, spacing them every 12 inches. This keeps the garland neat and evenly supported.
Step 3: Drape your LED string lights across the hooks, letting them fall slightly in a swoop for a graceful effect.
Step 4: Cut ribbon into equal pieces, each 18-20 inches long. You’ll need one per bow.
Step 5: Tie each ribbon into a bow with symmetrical loops. Then trim ends diagonally to prevent fraying.
Step 6: Fasten each bow to the light strand by tying around the cord, spacing them about 6-8 inches apart. Adjust until they sit evenly.
Step 7: Plug in the lights, dim the room, and enjoy the cozy glow.
Notes:
You can swap red for plaid, green, or gold ribbon depending on your theme. For a fuller look, double-layer two ribbons before tying.
