How to Make a Boho Dreamcatcher Ornament with Dried Orange and CrystalsThink of this ornament as a mini dreamcatcher with a citrus twist. The bright orange slice glows like the sun, while the crystals sparkle like frozen raindrops.

Together with the cinnamon stick, it creates an enchanting decoration that feels both grounding and uplifting.

Whether you hang it near a window or use it as a unique tree ornament, it’s sure to draw attention and curiosity.

Materials Needed

  • 1 large dried orange slice (3-4 inches wide)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (3 inches long)
  • 3 small crystal or glass pendants
  • 12–14 inches of thin natural twine or jewelry cord
  • Extra cord for hanging loop (about 8 inches)
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • Optional: small wooden beads

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Cut a piece of cord about 8 inches long. Then thread it through the top of the orange slice and tie securely to create a hanging loop.

Step 2: Place the cinnamon stick across the center of the orange slice and glue it down firmly. Hold for a few seconds until it sets.

Step 3: Cut three equal pieces of twine (4-5 inches each) for the crystal dangles. Also, tie one end of each twine to a crystal pendant.

Step 4: Attach the other ends of the twine evenly spaced along the bottom edge of the orange slice.

You can knot them through small holes (use a needle if needed) or glue them on the back side.

Step 5: For extra charm, slide a small bead above each crystal before tying. This adds a bohemian detail.

Step 6: Check the balance, make sure the crystals hang straight and the orange slice stays upright. Adjust cord lengths if needed.

Step 7: Hang your dreamcatcher ornament by a window, on a holiday tree, or in your favorite cozy corner.

Tips:

For a more mystical look, swap glass pendants with raw quartz or amethyst crystals.

You can also rub a drop of clove or orange essential oil onto the cinnamon stick for a subtle fragrance.
