Imagine two tiny Christmas trees standing guard at your door, as if waiting to guide you into holiday cheer.
With their cascading evergreen skirts and pops of red, they look like little elves disguised as trees.
A big glossy ornament and a woven star at the base finish the story, making the planter feel alive with personality and joy.
Materials Needed
- 1 medium planter pot (12=14” wide)
- 2 birch sticks or small tree trunks (18-24” tall)
- Fresh evergreen branches (15-20 stems)
- Small red ornaments (8-10 pieces)
- 1 large outdoor ornament ball
- 1 decorative star (woven or wooden)
- Soil or floral foam
- Optional: pinecones or figurines
Step-by-step Guide
Step 1: Fill your planter with soil or floral foam to hold everything in place.
Step 2: Insert the birch sticks firmly into the base, they’ll serve as your mini tree trunks.
Step 3: Layer evergreen branches downward around the sticks, attaching with floral wire until they form cone-shaped tree tops. Keep trimming for a neat, triangular look.
Step 4: Hang small red ornaments evenly on the greenery for a classic Christmas touch.
Step 5: Place a large ornament and a decorative star at the planter’s base, filling gaps with leftover pine branches.
Note:
You can spray a little artificial snow on the evergreens for an extra frosted winter feel.
