The circle of a wreath has always whispered of continuity, and here it tells a Thanksgiving story.
Pumpkins nestle together like old friends, leaves curl as though caught in a gentle wind, and a simple wooden house rests at the heart, quietly reminding you of home.
Bonus, hanging it feels like hanging a poem on your wall, one made of harvest colors, textures, and memories waiting to unfold at the dinner table.
Materials Needed
- 1 grapevine wreath base (16” diameter)
- 10-12 small foam or fabric pumpkins (2”-3” each, orange and gray tones)
- 8-10 faux seed pods or acorns (1.5”-2” each)
- 6-8 faux autumn leaves stems (approx. 10” long each)
- 3 faux flower stems in muted fall colors (hydrangea, magnolia, or similar)
- 1 wooden house ornament or cutout (4”-6” tall)
- 1 burlap or linen ribbon (2” wide × 24” long)
- Hot glue gun with 6-8 glue sticks
- Wire cutters and floral wire (12” length, 3-4 pieces)
Step-by-step Guide
Step 1: Lay your grapevine wreath base on a flat surface and decide the top and bottom placement.
Step 2: Arrange your pumpkins on one side of the wreath first, clustering 4-5 together near the bottom for a full look. Then, glue or wire them securely.
Step 3: Tuck in faux seed pods, acorns, and leaves around the pumpkins, blending colors and textures for balance.
Step 4: Add faux flowers in between the pumpkins to soften the transitions and give the wreath depth.
Step 5: Place your wooden house ornament in the center or slightly off to the side, securing it with wire or glue.
Step 6: Finish with a burlap ribbon tied at the bottom, letting it hang naturally for a rustic touch.
Step 7: Hang the wreath on your door or above your fireplace and adjust elements until the arrangement feels balanced and welcoming.
Notes:
If you prefer a farmhouse vibe, use more neutral tones like cream and sage. For a bold statement, add a few faux berries or metallic leaves for extra sparkle.
