If you love quirky costumes that get everyone laughing, this one’s a winner.
The photo booth strip is basically a frame of memories, every square can show off a funny face, wild sunglasses, or playful expression.
It’s easy to make with cardboard and tape, but the best part is you get to be as silly as possible with your photo poses.
This one’s less about spooky and more about joy, which is sometimes exactly what Halloween needs.
Materials Needed
- 2 large black foam boards or cardboard pieces (24” × 36” each)
- White paper sheets (8-10, printed with funny photos or blank to cut frames)
- Black duct tape (1 roll)
- Scissors or craft knife
- Glue stick or hot glue gun
- Colorful prop sunglasses (4-6 pairs for fun poses)
- String or elastic straps (2 pieces, 18-24” each)
Step-by-step Guide
Step 1: Cut your black foam board into long strips about 10-12 inches wide, keeping the length tall enough to cover from shoulders to knees.
Step 2: Use white paper sheets as photo frames. Either print funny headshots in advance or leave them blank to cut square openings for your face.
Step 3: Attach the frames evenly along the strip with glue, spacing them to look like a real photo booth reel.
Step 4: Tape string or elastic straps to the top of the board so you can wear the strip comfortably over your shoulders.
Step 5: Grab your brightest, silliest sunglasses and strike poses to complete the look.
Tip:
If you’re going as a group, coordinate your costumes so each person wears a strip.
When you stand together, it looks like one giant set of photo booth pictures, perfect for Halloween photos!
