Think of these clothespins as tiny billboards where your favorite characters can live.
A simple clip becomes a stage, a space where superheroes, sidekicks, or even goofy cartoon friends take charge of your everyday tasks.
Instead of nagging reminders, you’ll have comic strips cheering you on, turning small chores into quick wins that feel less like work and more like play.
Materials Needed
- 10-12 wooden clothespins
- Comic book scraps (small strips or panels cut to size, approx. 3/8” wide × 3” long)
- Scissors
- Mod Podge (matte finish, 8 oz)
- Foam brush
- Optional: glitter, ribbon, or small buttons for variety
- Wax paper
Step-by-step Guide
Step 1: Lay out your clothespins on wax paper. Then trim your comic scraps so they fit neatly on the flat surface of each pin.
Step 2: Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge directly onto the clothespin with your foam brush. You now place the comic strip carefully on top, smoothing it flat with your fingertip to remove bubbles.
Step 3: Once the strip is secure, brush another coat of Mod Podge over the surface to seal it. Then allow it to dry before moving to the next pin.
Step 4: Add personality, sprinkle a bit of glitter, glue on tiny buttons, or even wrap a piece of ribbon around the clothespin for extra flair.
Step 5: Let all pins dry fully before using them. Now, start clipping your reminders, sealing snack bags, or stringing up lightweight art with style.
Tips:
I once made a set just for my desk, and the difference was incredible. Suddenly, my don’t forget pile looked like it had a sense of humor.
So, go ahead and mix in characters with different moods, one day you’ll feel motivated by a hero, another day you’ll laugh at a silly sidekick.
