Materials

  • 5 empty toilet paper rolls (10 cm each)
  • Silver or white acrylic paint (50 ml)
  • Fine silver glitter (1 tbsp)
  • Small rhinestones or gems (about 10-12 pieces)
  • Hot glue gun and 3 glue sticks
  • Ruler and pencil
  • String or ornament hook

Instructions

  • Flatten each toilet roll and use a ruler to mark strips about 1 cm wide. Cut along the lines, you’ll need around 40-50 pieces for a full, layered snowflake.
  • Paint all pieces silver or white. Sprinkle glitter onto them while the paint is still wet so it adheres easily. Let them dry completely.
  • Arrange six petals in a circle to form the snowflake’s base, gluing where they touch. Add a second layer of petals on top, alternating positions for depth.
  • Once the glue dries, attach a few rhinestones in the center and along the edges for sparkle.
  • Tie a string or hook through one petal, hang it on your tree, and enjoy your eco-friendly, twinkling masterpiece.
