Materials

  • 8 toilet paper rolls (mix of full and half-sized)
  • Black acrylic paint (100 ml)
  • Yellow and green paint
  • Paintbrushes (small and medium)
  • Black and white construction paper (A4 size each)
  • Orange paper or paint
  • Scissors and glue
  • Egg carton sections
  • Optional: googly eyes or glitter

Instructions

  • Paint all toilet paper rolls black and let them dry. These will form your castle towers. For a fun look, you can vary their heights by trimming a few shorter.
  • Cut out cone shapes from egg cartons or paper, paint them bright yellow or orange, and glue them on top of the rolls to make spooky roofs.
  • Paint or cut out small windows using green or yellow paper and glue them on each tower. Then add a door to one of the rolls to serve as the castle entrance.
  • Use black paper to craft spiders and white paper for ghosts, drawing their faces with a marker. Glue or tape them around the castle walls.
  • Decorate the base with mini pumpkins and creepy crawlies. Once finished, you’ll have a haunted cardboard castle that looks straight out of a Halloween fairy tale!
