Materials

  • 3 toilet paper rolls (each about 10 cm long)
  • Pink, white, and black craft paper (A4 size)
  • Small glitter ribbon (1 meter)
  • Glue stick and scissors
  • Black marker or fine-tip pen
  • Small pom-poms or sequins for buttons
  • Skin-tone paint or paper for faces
  • Optional: string or ribbon for hanging

Instructions

  • Paint or wrap each roll in skin-tone paper for the face area, leaving the top and bottom for clothing. Cover the remaining sections in white or pink paper to form their uniforms.
  • Cut out small paper rectangles for arms and glue them to the sides of each roll. Then add small strips of glitter ribbon as cuffs and belts for a festive sparkle.
  • Create hats using leftover paper, roll and glue into cylinders that fit snugly on top. Decorate with stars, stripes, or dots.
  • Use a marker to draw the nutcracker’s classic face: bold eyebrows, a mustache, and a neat smile. Then add sequins or pom-poms as buttons for extra flair.
  • Let everything dry and, if you’d like, attach a loop of string on the back for hanging. Now you’ve got a trio of delightful little soldiers ready to stand guard over your Christmas cheer.
