Materials

  • White cardstock card (5x7 in.)
  • Mini kraft-paper envelope (approx. 3x3 in.)
  • Red, pink, and white cardstock scraps
  • Small heart punch (or scissors)
  • Red string or thin yarn (8–10 in.)
  • Glue stick or craft glue
  • “Happy Valentine’s Day” printed label or marker

Instructions

  • Start by placing your kraft envelope on the front of the card to find the right position, usually centered and slightly lower than the middle.
  • Cut or punch several small hearts from red, pink, and white cardstock. Mixing the shades creates a more playful and full look.
  • Open the envelope flap slightly and glue some hearts inside so they look like they’re spilling out. Let a few stick out at angles for a natural effect.
  • Add more hearts floating above the envelope, arranging them in a soft upward scatter.
  • Tie a bow with the red string and glue it to the bottom corner of the envelope for a sweet finishing touch.
  • Attach your Valentine’s message at the bottom of the card, keeping it simple so the envelope stays the main focus.
