Cut a large heart (about 12–15 cm wide) from cardstock. For a folding card, fold the paper first and cut the heart so the fold stays intact.
Glue a 4–6 in paper doily or lace trim around the edges so it slightly overlaps the border. Let it dry flat.
Cut a second heart (10–12 cm) from patterned paper or another pastel sheet. Glue it centered on top of the lace layer.
Add a focal detail: draw small illustrations, glue a tiny ribbon bow, or layer another mini heart with lace. Keep decoration soft and simple.
Place pearl stickers along the border or around the smaller heart for texture. Next, add soft shading or tiny doodles using colored pencils.
Trim any excess lace, check edges, and smooth down glue spots. Then add optional backing for extra sturdiness.
