Materials

  • Bow-tie pasta (15–20 pieces)
  • White cardstock or thick paper (A4 size)
  • Acrylic or tempera paint (6–8 colors, 50ml each)
  • Paintbrushes (1 small, 1 medium)
  • Black marker or pen
  • Craft glue (1 small bottle)

Instructions

  • Spread out the bow-tie pasta and paint each piece in different colors. You can mix patterns, blend shades, and let your imagination run wild. Allow them to dry completely.
  • On the white cardstock, draw simple dotted lines to show the butterflies’ flight paths. Then add grass, flowers, or clouds at the bottom for an extra touch of nature.
  • Once the pasta is dry, glue each piece onto the paper to follow the drawn paths.
  • Use a black marker to draw tiny antennae on each butterfly. Then add final touches with a few doodles or stickers to make your butterfly garden bloom with charm.
