Materials

  • Canvas or cardboard (8×8 inches)
  • Assorted pasta (macaroni, penne, fusilli, small shells – about 50 pieces)
  • Acrylic paints in red, yellow, orange, blue, and green (10ml each)
  • Paintbrushes
  • Craft glue (1 bottle)
  • Marker for details

Instructions

  • Paint your child’s hand with red paint and press it onto the canvas to create the turkey body and feathers base.
  • Paint the pasta pieces in bright fall shades, use penne and fusilli for feathers, macaroni for outlining, and shells or beads for grass.
  • Glue the pasta along the handprint fingers to form the turkey’s feathers. You should alternate colors for a vibrant look.
  • Add small pasta near the bottom to create grass and glue two penne pieces for the turkey’s legs.
  • Draw a small beak and eye to complete your turkey’s face.
  • Let it all dry, then display your pasta turkey proudly, it’s a perfect blend of art, texture, and Thanksgiving charm!
