Materials

  • Assorted pasta shapes (penne, rigatoni, fusilli – about 50 pieces)
  • Acrylic paints in various ocean colors (blue, green, pink, orange, purple – 10ml each)
  • Air-dry clay or playdough (blue, 100g)
  • Small brush set
  • Craft glue (1 bottle)
  • Glitter or metallic paint (optional for coral shimmer)

Instructions

  • Choose different pasta shapes for your corals including tubes for tall coral, spirals for brain coral, and shells for sea rocks.
  • Paint each pasta piece in vibrant coral shades and let them dry completely.
  • Roll small portions of blue clay into flat disks, these will be your ocean bases.
  • Gently press painted pasta into the clay, arranging them in clusters to look like coral formations.
  • Finally, add a few rocks made from painted beans or small pasta balls for more texture.
