Materials

  • Cardboard triangles (6–10 inches tall, 3–4 pieces)
  • Pasta (penne, rigatoni, elbow macaroni—about 2 cups total)
  • Paintbrushes (medium size)
  • Craft glue (1 small bottle)
  • Optional: glitter, gold stars, or small beads for decoration
  • Acrylic paint (green, yellow, lime, 100ml each)

Instructions

  • Cut your cardboard into triangles to form tree shapes. Next, paint each triangle in a base color with different shades of green or even a bright yellow for contrast. Let them dry.
  • Paint the pasta pieces in matching or complementary colors. Set aside to dry completely.
  • Starting from the bottom, glue pasta onto the cardboard in neat rows, slightly overlapping each piece to create a layered effect.
  • Continue upward until the tree is fully covered. Then add a gold star or sprinkle of glitter for a festive finish.
