Materials

  • 10–12 brown pipe cleaners (12 inches each)
  • 2 small wooden sticks or dowels (10–12 inches long)
  • 2 small black felt squares (2×2 inches)
  • 2 small pom-poms (black for nose, 1 cm diameter)
  • Small black beads for eyes (4 mm)
  • White felt or foam for mouth (cut to 1×0.5 inch oval)
  • Decorative ribbon (12–14 inches per stick)
  • Hot glue gun and scissors

Instructions

  • Start by coiling brown pipe cleaners around your finger or a marker to form the bear’s round head. Keep wrapping until you get a thick, plush texture.
  • Shape two small loops for ears using short pipe cleaner pieces and glue them to the top of the head. Then adjust them so they look symmetrical.
  • Glue the small black pom-pom at the center for the nose, add bead eyes above it, and attach the white felt oval for the mouth. Now, draw or glue a thin smile line beneath the nose.
  • For the graduation cap, cut a small black felt square for the top and roll another strip into a band. Glue them together and secure it on top of the bear’s head.
  • Attach the finished bear head to the top of a wooden stick with hot glue, then tie a ribbon bow just below it. Allow it to cool and set before displaying or gifting.
