Materials

  • 3-4 pairs of old rain boots children’s and adult sizes, 8"-14" tall
  • 1 bag potting soil 20 lb
  • Assorted flowers: daisies irises, wildflowers (12-15 stems per boot)
  • Drill with ¼" bit
  • Decorative ribbon optional

Instructions

  • Clean the rain boots thoroughly and drill 2–3 small holes in the bottom of each for drainage.
  • Fill the boots halfway with potting soil, pressing gently to keep them upright.
  • Arrange flowers inside, mixing colors and textures for a natural, overflowing look.
  • Add more soil around the roots until the boots are full and flowers stand firmly in place.
  • Tie ribbons or bows around the tops of the boots for a sweet finishing touch, then place them at your gate, porch, or patio.
