Materials

  • 25–30 pipe cleaners in pink and cream (12 inches each)
  • 1 orange and 1 yellow pipe cleaner for the flame
  • 1 white pipe cleaner for the candle base
  • 1 pearl bead or small button for decoration
  • Hot glue gun with fine tip
  • Scissors

Instructions

  • Start by coiling pink pipe cleaners into a circular base about 4 inches wide. Keep wrapping until the base feels thick and sturdy.
  • Build the cake body by stacking and gluing additional pink coils on top of the base to create a short cylinder, about 3 inches tall.
  • Add cream-colored pipe cleaners around the top edge to form a frosting trim. Then twist and shape them to look like piped icing.
  • For the candle, twist the white pipe cleaner into a straight stick and attach it to the center. You fold the orange and yellow ones together to create a small flame and glue it on top.
  • Decorate the cake with small bows, pearls, or extra loops around the sides. Once finished, admire your sweet little creation that never melts or expires.
