Materials

  • 35–40 green or pink pipe cleaners (12 inches each)
  • 1 wooden dowel or sturdy stick (8–10 inches long)
  • 1 small round wood slice or base (3–4 inches wide)
  • Small white pom-poms, mini pearls, and glitter snowflakes
  • Gold or pink ribbon (1 inch wide, 12–14 inches long)
  • Hot glue gun with glue sticks
  • Scissors

Instructions

  • Begin by twisting three or four pipe cleaners together to form the narrow top of the tree. Gradually add more pipe cleaners as you move down, arranging them in a circular pattern to create thicker layers.
  • Continue layering pipe cleaners around the dowel or stick, bending and fluffing each one outward to mimic real pine branches. You secure each row with a small dab of hot glue to keep it steady.
  • Once your tree shape feels full and balanced, glue the bottom of the dowel onto the wood base. Next, hold it in place for a few seconds until it sets firmly.
  • Decorate your tree with pom-poms and mini pearls as ornaments, spacing them evenly between layers. Then add snowflakes or tiny gingerbread cutouts for extra detail.
  • Tie a decorative ribbon into a neat bow and glue it to the top of the tree. If you have a charm or topper, place it at the center of the bow to complete your festive masterpiece.
