Flatten each coffee filter and decorate it with markers or paint in fun, monster-like colors with purple, green, blue, orange, or any mix you like.
Lightly spray each filter with water so the colors blend together, then let them dry completely.
Cut out monster features from black and white paper such as mouths, sharp teeth, horns, or wavy arms.
Once the filters are dry, glue the paper features onto each one. Mix and match shapes to make every monster unique.
Add googly eyes including one big one for a cyclops look or several tiny ones for a funny twist.
Let everything dry, then hang your friendly monsters on the wall or windows for a colorful, not-so-scary display that shows just how creative you can be.
