Flatten the coffee filters and color them using markers or watercolors. Blend bright hues together for a magical, fairy-like look. Lightly mist with water to help the colors mix, then let them dry completely.
Fold each painted coffee filter in half, then in half again, and snip a tiny hole at the center for the pipe cleaner to go through.
Twist a pipe cleaner into a loop at the top for the fairy’s head and bend the ends into arms.
Slide 2–3 filters onto the pipe cleaner and bunch them up under the head to create a layered dress. Then secure them with a small rubber band or a bit of string.
Fluff the layers and shape the arms gracefully like a ballerina mid-spin. Finally, add glitter or small embellishments if you want an extra sparkle.
