Materials

  • 10-12 white coffee filters (size 8–12 cup)
  • Green and yellow washable paint or watercolor
  • Spray bottle filled with water
  • Red pom-poms or buttons (6–8 pieces)
  • Cardboard or paper plate (for wreath base, about 10 inches wide)
  • Red ribbon for hanging
  • Optional: red and white striped bow for decoration
  • Hot glue gun or craft glue

Instructions

  • Flatten the coffee filters and paint them in various shades of green and yellow. Don’t worry about perfection, the color variation gives the wreath a natural look.
  • Lightly spray the painted filters with water to blend the colors, then let them dry completely.
  • Cut out the center of a paper plate or piece of cardboard to make a circular wreath base.
  • Crumple and slightly fold each coffee filter to create a leafy texture. Glue them one by one around the base, overlapping slightly for fullness.
  • Once the circle is covered, glue red pom-poms or buttons in small clusters to mimic holly berries.
  • Attach a ribbon at the top for hanging, and finish by adding a festive bow at the bottom.
