Materials

  • 1 wooden ladder 4 ft-6 ft tall
  • 6-8 pumpkins in mixed sizes and colors
  • 1 large bouquet of faux or fresh autumn flowers sunflowers, mums, dahlias
  • 1-2 bundles of dried leaves
  • 1 strand of warm white fairy lights 10-15 ft long
  • Optional: pinecones gourds, or small lanterns

Instructions

  • Open your wooden ladder and set it securely in the desired spot, preferably against a backdrop of trees or fencing.
  • Begin decorating from the top down, place a large bouquet or overflowing floral arrangement on the highest step as the focal point.
  • Add pumpkins to each rung, mixing colors like white, orange, and speckled varieties for contrast.
  • Tuck in faux sunflowers or seasonal blooms between pumpkins to break up the earthy tones with bursts of brightness.
  • Wrap a strand of fairy lights loosely around the ladder, weaving through the rungs so the glow highlights each tier.
  • Scatter fall leaves, small gourds, or pinecones at the base for a grounded, natural finish.
