Ingredients
  

  • Brown cardstock or cardboard (8.5×11 inches, enough for 2-3 jars)
  • Clear plastic sheet or recycled packaging (cut to jar size)
  • Small photo of your child (3-4 inches tall, cut out)
  • White craft foam balls or fake snow (1 tablespoon per ornament)
  • Green glitter foam (for trees, 2×3 inches each)
  • Red-and-white baker’s twine (10 inches per ornament)
  • Glue stick, scissors, and black marker

Method
 

  1. Draw or print a mason jar outline on brown cardstock and cut it out. Then cut out a window in the center where the photo scene will show.
  2. Glue a clear plastic sheet behind the window opening to form the front of the jar.
  3. Attach your child’s cut-out photo and a small foam tree on the back piece of the jar, positioning them so they appear inside the snow globe.
  4. Sprinkle foam snowballs or fake snow over the background before sealing the edges with glue and attaching the front piece.
