Materials

  • 1 cinnamon stick (about 4-5 inches long)
  • Small piece of patterned fabric (6x6 inches)
  • Stuffing or cotton filling
  • Needle and thread or hot glue
  • Small bell or wooden bead (for tree topper)
  • Mini pot or small cup for base
  • Ribbon or twine (8 inches)
  • Scissors

Instructions

  • Cut two identical triangle shapes from the fabric to form the tree’s front and back. Each triangle should be roughly 4 inches tall and 3 inches wide at the base.
  • Stitch the triangles together along the edges, leaving the bottom open. If sewing isn’t your thing, you can glue along the edges instead.
  • Turn the fabric right side out and lightly stuff it with cotton or filling until it holds its shape.
  • Insert the cinnamon stick into the open bottom so it looks like a tree trunk. Then secure it with glue inside the fabric.
  • Add a small wooden bead or jingle bell to the top of the tree using glue or thread, it becomes your tree topper.
  • Place the cinnamon stick tree into a small pot or cup filled with pebbles or sand for stability. Tie a ribbon around the pot for a finishing touch.
  • Once it’s set, display it on your table, shelf, or windowsill where it can spread that cozy cinnamon fragrance throughout your room.
