Materials

  • 1 wooden embroidery hoop (8-10 inches)
  • 10-12 dried orange slices
  • 6-8 cinnamon sticks
  • Small evergreen sprigs (real or faux)
  • Twine or jute string (about 3-4 feet)
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors

Instructions

  • Cut several lengths of twine at varying heights and tie them evenly around the embroidery hoop. These will be your hanging strands.
  • Attach dried orange slices to some of the twine pieces using hot glue or by threading them through small holes near the rind.
  • Tie small bundles of cinnamon sticks with twine and secure them to other hanging strands.
  • Next, add a few evergreen sprigs for texture and fragrance.
  • Adjust the lengths so the oranges, cinnamon bundles, and greenery hang at different levels for a balanced look.
  • Finally, tie three longer pieces of twine to the top of the hoop, gathering them at the center to form a loop for hanging.
