Materials

  • 1 adult-size scarecrow 4'-5' tall
  • 1 child-size scarecrow 2'-3' tall
  • 4-5 straw bales standard size
  • 6-8 pumpkins variety of sizes, 6"-12"
  • 4 corn stalks 5'-6' tall
  • 1 wooden “Welcome Fall” sign
  • Optional: plaid shirts overalls, and extra hats

Instructions

  • Arrange your hay bales in a tiered setup, with two stacked for height and others spread in front for balance.
  • Place the tall scarecrow behind the hay bales, securing it with stakes if needed to keep it upright.
  • Sit the smaller scarecrow on one of the hay bales so it looks like a companion or child figure.
  • Frame the display with corn stalks at each side, tying them to stakes or directly into the bales.
  • Add pumpkins of varying sizes across the hay for a natural harvest look, then finish with the welcome sign.
