Materials Needed

• 4 wooden panels (each 4” × 12”)
• 40-50 medium kidney beans (1-1.5 cm)
• 8-10 small round beans (0.5-1 cm, for flower centers)
• 4 dried twigs (10-12” long, straight or slightly curved)
• Acrylic paint set (red, yellow, green, white, black, blue)
• Small paintbrushes (size 2 and 4 round)
• Hot glue gun with glue sticks
• Clear varnish spray

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Sand the wooden panels until smooth. Then paint each one a bold background color (black, green, red, blue). Let them dry completely.

Step 2: Arrange your twigs vertically on each panel. Trim if needed so they fit nicely within the edges. Glue them securely as stems.

Step 3: Sort the beans by size. Paint petals in bright colors like yellow, red, or white, and paint centers in contrasting tones. And allow them to dry before handling.

Step 4: Begin gluing beans around the twig stems, shaping them into flowers or buds. Then position larger beans as petals and smaller ones as flower centers.

Step 5: For added realism, glue extra beans painted green to act as leaves along the twigs.

Step 6: Once everything is set, lightly spray with clear varnish to protect colors and give a polished finish.
