Imagine holding winter in your hand. These peanut shell snowmen are like tiny snow friends captured forever, smiling back at you even when the snow outside melts away.

You can line them up on a shelf, dangle them from the branches of a tree, or even turn them into cheerful keychains.

Materials Needed

• 3-5 peanut shells (about 2 inches long, intact)
• 1 bottle of white acrylic paint (30 ml)
• 1 small detail paintbrush (size 0-1)
• 1 bottle of black acrylic paint (15 ml) or black marker
• 1 bottle of orange acrylic paint (10 ml) for carrot noses
• Small eye screws (size 5-10 mm) if you want to hang them
• String, twine, or ribbon (6-8 inches per ornament)
• Craft glue or hot glue gun

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Paint each peanut shell completely white. Let them dry fully before moving on. You might want to give them a second coat for an even snowy look.

Step 2: Using black paint or a fine marker, draw two small eyes and a line of “coal” buttons.

Step 3: Dip your brush in orange paint and carefully create a tiny carrot nose in the center.

Step 4: For ornaments, twist a small eye screw into the top of the peanut shell. Add a dab of glue around the base for extra hold.

Step 5: Thread your ribbon or twine through the loop and tie securely.

Step 6: Add your snowmen to the tree or line them along a mantel. Each one will look slightly different, which makes them even more endearing.

Tips:

You can dress them up further with mini scarves made from felt scraps or yarn.
