Materials Needed

• A dried okra pod (one with an interesting, crooked shape works best!)
• Green, black, red, and pink craft paint
• Black rope or thick twine
• A small black bottle cap or foam cone
• Black felt or paper
• Black tulle
• Purple and orange ribbon
• Wooden beads (painted purple and orange)
• Hot glue gun and glue sticks
• Strong twine or cord

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Start by painting your okra pod with a vibrant green craft paint.

You can use a sculpting tool or simply dab the paint on to create a bumpy texture for the warty nose and chin, adding to the witch’s spooky charm. Let the paint dry completely.

Step 2: Once the green is dry, add the facial features. Use a thin brush to paint on spooky eyes, a crooked mouth, and a small red tongue peeking out.

You can also use a dot of pink paint for rosy cheeks.

Step 3: Next, you'll make her hair and veil. Cut a small circle of black tulle and a few small pieces of black rope or twine.

Also, glue the rope to the sides of the okra pod for hair, and then glue the tulle to the top to create a mysterious veil.

Step 4: Now for the iconic hat. Glue a bottle cap or foam cone onto a circle of black felt or paper to create the classic witch hat shape.
