Materials Needed

• 10-12 peanut shells (1-2” long, cleaned and dried)
• Acrylic paints (red, green, blue, yellow, pink, purple, brown)
• Black marker or pen
• White cardstock or canvas board (A4 size)
• Fine paintbrush
• Craft glue or hot glue gun

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Paint your peanut shells in different bright colors, one per bird. Then add black dots for eyes and let them dry.

Step 2: On white cardstock, draw utility poles, wires, and musical notes using a black marker. Keep the wires slightly curved for a natural flow.

Step 3: Glue the peanut shells along the drawn wires. Make sure they’re angled differently so each “bird” looks unique.

Step 4: With a fine brush or marker, draw tiny feet under the shells and small red beaks at the edges.

Step 5: Add more music notes around the birds to give the artwork rhythm and joy.

Tips:

Use metallic paints for some birds if you want an extra shimmer. This design also works well framed as a fun wall hanging for a kid’s room.
