Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Attach the shoe lasts securely to the wooden base. These will act as the feet of your lamp.

Step 2: Fix two slim metal rods into the lasts, angling them slightly like legs. Ensure they are sturdy enough to support the hat.

Step 3: Wire your light socket and thread it through the rods. Then position the bulb so it will sit under the bowler hat.

Step 4: Hollow or carefully cut a small opening inside the bowler hat to allow heat to escape and fit over the bulb and socket.
